Peikko’s Turnkey Foundation Solution Selected to 17-Turbine Wind Park in Finland

Peikko Group’s Finnish subsidiary Peikko Finland Oy has received a substantial order for turnkey foundations for a Santavuori wind park in Ilmajoki, Finland. The delivery scope consists of foundation design, foundation components (anchor bolts, anchor and template rings, rebar splicing, shear reinforcement, disposable foundation forms), foundation reinforcement and assembly.

The Santavuori wind park consists of 17 pieces of 3.3 MW Vestas turbines with hub height of 137 meters. The investor of the park is EPV Tuulivoima Oy, a major wind park developer in Western Finland. Peikko’s deliveries are made during May-September 2015 and will take place from Peikko’s Finnish and Slovakian manufacturing units.

”Peikko’s foundation solution optimizes the use of steel and concrete and reduces time in all parts of the process phases. Our foundation solution is flexible: it is always tailored according to customer needs to comprise components, design or the complete foundation reinforcement package including in-house design and assembly. We are proud that our turnkey concept was selected for the Santavuori wind park”, states Topi Paananen, CEO of Peikko Group Corporation.
